Starting A New Business

You’ve started a new company and you’re looking to market your company to attract more customers. You’ve come to the right place on your quest to market your company. A company logo will help your company stand out from the many companies that compete with you. You will need a logo that describes what your company does in a way that leaves a lasting impression when your customers sees it. What are the elements that make up a good logo?

The right name is key to successful branding

One of the main objects in a logo is obviously the name of the company. Many companies out there have decided to brand their identity by creating a logo of just the name of the company. For instance, some of the biggest companies out there are branded by just their name such as Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Sony and FedEx to name a few. What they have done here is to stylize the name of the logo by using a particular font that has been adjusted or by the use of color. For this to work however, you’ll need a name of the company to be relatively short, probably one or two words. You would want to avoid using this type of logo if your company name is longer than two or more words.

How a professional designer makes a difference

Another good use of a logo is by using an object the describes the company. Objects can be symbols, lines, objects, etc… There is a lot a designer can do in creating a logo using this type of logo. Companies have spent millions of dollars to brand their company using just the logo in their advertising. Some notable companies fall into this category. The most recognizable examples are Nike, Apple, Mercedes Benz, Toyota and Chanel.

Combining design elements to get the best logo

You can of course combine to two elements to create a stunning logo for your company. Samples of this include Coca Cola, Ford, McDonalds, Burger King and Intel. Whatever you choose, you should design a logo that will best describe the nature of the company and what its all about. Granted there are exceptions like Apple. You wouldn’t know Apple is a computer company by looking at their logo but branded correctly, that logo is still widely recognizable. Therefore creating a logo is something to take lightly. Logos are difficult to create and should be created by a highly experienced designer.

What we do here at Logo Bang, we try to take your vision of your company and try to design a logo that will drive customers to you. Provide brand recognition that will give a lasting impression to your customers. Let us help.
