Construction and Building Logos

We get asked to design construction logos fairly often since it is a large part of our society.  Construction logos are thought of most often as housing, remodeling, painting and others.  Logos of this type may include design features that depict what the company constructs however this doesn’t have to be the case.  Logos today are so varied that a logo for a construction company could well be the same as a logo for a totally different industry.

Design Trends

Logo design trends are becoming so modern and artistic that designers are taking the next level in designing logos.  Logos in the past for the construction industry could very easily identified as construction.  However since more and more designs are incorporating brighter colors, 3D effects, use of angles, etc., one can’t determine a construction logo from a computer logo.  Therefore it is important to know whether you want to design a logo for pure aesthetic reasons or if you want to design a logo that identifies what the company does.

Logo Colors

Colors used for constructions logos can vary greatly as well.  Most commonly though, the consensus with these logos asks for bold colors.  Bold colors to give off a sense of size and greatness.  However, in the construction field, yellows have a cautionary tone, reds have a danger feel, and browns have earth tones.  Color is an important factor in designing a logo so it really plays a large part of the logo.
